A lab for voice actors to experiment with acting techniques for becoming fully immersed in an imaginary scene and reacting honestly to its circumstances. We combine theory and practice with a focus on the creative process and improvisation.
why
Voice acting is acting and ours is a theater of the mind. Our most memorable and moving performances are often the ones where we are transported to an entirely different place, locked in a moment that isn’t really happening, talking to someone who isn’t there.
how
Eight Zoom sessions, 2-3 hours long. Session 1 provides a foundation in script analysis, every session after builds on that with a new approach for inspiring honest emotion and spontaneous action, and session 8 is an ensemble performance where we create something new with the tools we've been using.​
